Apeel picks up $250M to extend produce shelf life

, a startup known for edible coatings that make produce less perishable, raised $250 million in a Series E funding round led by Singapore’s , and joined by a long list of celebrity investors, VCs and private firms.

The financing sets a valuation over $2 billion for the Santa Barbara, California, company, which pitches its technology as a tool for reducing food waste. Current varieties of produce using its technology include avocados, limes, mangoes, cucumbers and apples.

The latest round brings total fundraising to date to over $635 million.

Postman snags $225M for API development

San Francisco-based , a collaboration platform for API developers, raised $225 million in a Series D funding round led by . The fundraise reportedly sets a valuation for the company of around $5.6 billion.
